Election Ambassador
About the job
Back-to-school season at flytedesk is always lively, especially in election years. In addition to our normal brand advertising work, we’ll be working with some of the biggest names in politics and advocacy to drive voter turnout for the 2026 midterms.
That’s where you come in. As an Election Ambassador, you’ll bridge the gap between national campaigns and your local campus community. You will be flytedesk’s go-to contact on the ground, executing weekly high-impact tactics that drive civic engagement, gather vital political research, and amplify youth voices.
This position is designed for students who are interested in politics, media, and marketing, and who want to gain real-world experience on campus during the 2026 election cycle. You don’t need to be a political junkie; you just need a basic interest in what’s happening and a desire to get involved.
We’ll offer fair warning: election work is fast-paced, time-intensive, and unpredictable. This role requires adaptability, resourcefulness, and a “make-it-happen” mindset, whether that means pivoting on short notice to drop survey links in campus group chats, placing posters on campus or handing out flyers, or spending 30 minutes chalking high-traffic sidewalks before class.
If you are reliable, comfortable taking initiative on your own schedule, and want hands-on experience helping national campaigns reach college students, this role is a great fit. It’s an immersive, practical crash course for a future career in advertising, media, marketing, or community organizing.
Job duties:
Grassroots Execution: Lead physical campaign rollouts on campus through street team efforts like hanging up posters and passing out flyers.
Research: Conduct quick-turn campus sentiment surveys, capture photos of local ad placements, and gather research from fellow students.
Digital Street Team: Share civic engagement resources, surveys, and key election information across local student networks and social channels.
Direct Coordination: Work directly with the flytedesk team through weekly task check-ins, offering real-time insights into what’s happening on your campus.
About you
Excellent attitude and a willingness to tackle any tasks (no matter how large or small).
Capacity to multitask and meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to detail and highly organized.
Comfortable receiving feedback and eager to grow and learn.
Personal drive for excellence and accountability.
Be comfortable approaching people and managing your own time
